The young dancers’ evening of the Finnish National Ballet offers a captivating mix of the classic and contemporary.
“The Youth Company of the Finnish National Ballet bridges the gap between school and professional life. The dancers experience the best of both worlds, preparing them to join the Finnish National Ballet or any other ballet company”, tells Javier Torres, Artistic Director of the Finnish National Ballet. Torres has created a scene from the ballet La Bayadère for the Youth Company.
Choreographer Julian Nicosia explains the creative process behind his work Fragments of Time, and instructor Giovanni di Palma discusses Blushing and Marco Goecke’s choreographic style.
