Joyful Strauss on Epiphany
One of the delightful traditions in Helsinki, at the beginning of the New Year, are the Strauss Concerts. On Epiphany Day, Saturday January 6th the Main Stage at the National Opera invites you to enjoy the festive concerts.
The Lohja City Orchestra extended with musicians from the Sibelius Academy performs under the baton of conductor Atso Almila. The audience is taken through the joyful and carefree world of the Strauss Dynasty. The singers are the sopranos Goitsemang Lehobye and Hedvig Paulig as well as tenor Tuomas Miettola and barytone Siphe Kwani.
Our concerts offer high class performances accompanied by joy and laughter. The best parts from Johann Strauss famous operettas will be performed. After a couple of years of interruption, our wonderful Finnish singers again joined on stage by singers from South Africa and the USA.
