Pelzi Piia Peltola or P. Peltola is a versatile stage artist, with work experience ranging from marginal live art performing to big stage Shakespeare adaptations. Peltola´s interest lies in the sense of truthfulness of art, whether it be the relationship between performers and the audience made visible, or the theme at hand being an urgent societal question. Peltola looks for the purpose of making performances, and seeks to challenge themself. This has meant working outside of Helsinki, working in several roles such as coreographing or writing, and acquiring knowledge of topics such as the mining industry, speaking Swedish, the future of police, or the entire history of North-Karelia. Peltola´s life has taken them around the world, and offered very different viewpoints to hierarchichal structures in the society. Peltola firmly believes in making ambitious art to audiences that do not possess special skills or education. Peltola is a master in directing from the Uniarts. Their hobbies include gardening the allotment.
