Established in 1922, the Finnish National Ballet is Finland’s only full-sized professional ballet company. Today, it is a highly international crowd of 75 dancers in the main company and 15 dancers in the youth company, representing 24 nationalities between them. One third of the dancers are Finns, most of them trained at the Ballet School of the Finnish National Opera and Ballet. The ballet is led by the artistic director, and the dancers are trained by 7 ballet masters.
