Our programmes for preschoolers introduce the magic of opera and ballet through performances and workshops. On this page, you will also find application instructions for daycare groups.
magic moment
Magic Moment is an interactive performance based on the familiar story of Cinderella. In the 30-minute performance, toddlers and preschoolers are gently introduced to the world of ballet through exploration and imaginative play.
Application period for Magic Moment in autumn will begin on 17 August
Daycare groups and preschools can apply to take part in the Magic Moment performances in autumn 2026 using the online form below. The application period begins on Monday 17 August at 9 a.m. and ends on Friday 21 August at 4 p.m. See all possible performance dates on the application form.
mini opera
Mini Operas are lively 30-minute versions of well-known operas bursting with energy and excitement. Two brilliant singers bring to life a wealth of characters, while two musicians create a colourful orchestral sound. The performance is suitable for audiences of all ages, starting from preschoolers. In the 2026–2027 season, our programme for preschoolers includes the Mini Opera Das Rheingold.
Application period for Mini Opera in autumn will begin on 17 August
Daycare groups and preschools can apply to take part in performances of Mini Opera: Das Rheingold in autumn 2026 using the online form below. The application period begins on Monday 17 August at 9 a.m. and ends on Friday 21 August at 4 p.m.
As part of our co-operation with the municipalities of the Helsinki Metropolitan Area, we offer local daycare groups the chance to participate in our Mini Opera free of charge. For daycare groups from outside the area there are some free places too. Please apply for the performances in advance. Participants for the audience are selected taking into account first-time participants and municipal co-operation.
