INTRODUCTION
My name is Eeva Kontu, and since 2005 I have worked as a music director, conductor, and composer in the fields of musical theatre and opera. With over 20 years of professional experience, I am deeply passionate about contemporary music drama.
In my thinking, all music carries dramaturgy and narrative. There is always direction and movement in music: energy flows forward and backward in time, inward and outward in emotion – a constant sense of motion, tension, and release.
I am eager to further explore opera as a transformative and multidimensional art form through this unique initiative.
