taking opera and ballet into your own hands

In Opera & Ballet in Action workshops, 5 to 6 years olds can experience the fascinating world of opera and ballet. Participants learn about a selected Main Stage production through hands-on activities, such as arts and crafts, making music, dancing, and drama. In addition to learning about different art forms, the children get to make a nice souvenir to take home (excluding costume and set workshops). The workshops last approximately 1.5 hours and are held in Finnish.

daycare and pre-school groups

Enrolment for workshops in autumn 2025 will begin later.

We offer daycare and pre-school groups the opportunity to participate in Opera & Ballet in Action workshops for free. Advance enrolment is mandatory. The Opera & Ballet in Action workshops focus on a different art form each month. The workshops are always themed on a main auditorium production of the current repertoire. Workshops in season 2025–2026 are inspired by ballet Cinderella.
