TAKING OPERA AND BALLET INTO YOUR OWN HANDS

In Opera & Ballet in Action workshops, 5 to 6 years olds can experience the fascinating world of opera and ballet. Participants learn about a selected Main Stage production through hands-on activities, such as arts and crafts, making music, dancing, and drama. In addition to learning about different art forms, the children get to make a nice souvenir to take home (excluding costume and set workshops). The workshops last approximately 1.5 hours and are held in Finnish.

Enrolment for workshops in season 2024–2025 has ended.

We offer daycare and pre-school groups the opportunity to participate in Opera & Ballet in Action workshops for free. Advance enrolment is mandatory. The Opera & Ballet in Action workshops focus on a different art form each month. The workshops are always themed on a main auditorium production of the current repertoire. Workshops in season 2024–2025 are inspired by ballet Sleeping Beauty.
