Giselle’s costumes inspired by old Italian photographs
The crown jewel of French Romantic ballet, Giselle, now receives a fresh interpretation as Artistic Director Javier Torres moves the story from the Middle Ages to 1950s Italy.
Costume designer Erika Turunen drew inspiration from old photographs of a familiar Italian village, with enchanting results.
