An opera that echoes with great yearning

The dashing Onegin rebuffs the affections of the young Tatyana, and the love of Olga’s life, Lensky, dies in a duel. Years later, Onegin confesses his love to Tatyana, but it’s already too late. No one seems to find happiness, and the chance for love slips through their fingers.

Eugene Onegin is an opera about unfulfilled yearning. Everyone is unhappy – except for the audience, who will be enraptured by Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s haunting and evocative music. Eugene Onegin is a timeless opera classic, which explores themes of first love and heartbreak that resonate with everyone. Marco Arturo Marelli’s brilliant interpretation delivers beauty that elevates the ordinary to the extraordinary.
