Espoo Cathedral will echo with heavenly sounds on 8 August 2019, as harpist Päivi Severeide, soprano Virva Puumala and the Orchestra of the Finnish National Orchestra conducted by Taavi Oramo interpret a selection of Gabriel Fauré, Claude Debussy and Igor Stravinsky’s music.

The Finnish Nationa Opera Orchestra
Conductor Taavi Oramo had his debut in summer 2017 when he conducted Tapiola Sinfonietta and The Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra at a short notice. Soprano Virva Puumala won the Lappeenranta Singing Competition in 2019. The concert is both artists’ first visit to the Finnish National Opera. Päivi Severeide is the alternating principal harpist in the Orchestra of the FNO.
