First touch of Opera & Ballet

Sampling art for kids and parents

The First Taste of Opera & Ballet will wake up all the senses of both babies and their parents. We will sing, play, move, listen, look and touch – no previous experience necessary! These invigorating half-hour workshops are either for infants (about 0 to 9 months) or babies who can already crawl (about 10 to 18 months). Admission is free. Every baby must be accompanied by an adult.

Getting to the First Taste of Opera & Ballet

The workshops (30 min) are held in in the foyer of Almi Hall unless otherwise specified. Step-free entrance is from Oopperankuja on the Töölönlahti side.

Good to know

Accessible and spacious toilets are available in the foyer of Almi Hall. We do not have a separate childcare room. There is a microwave oven in the foyer that can be used.

Please note that every baby must be accompanied by an adult, yet we do not let in additional audience who have not registrated to the event (for example family members or friends) in order to guarantee a peaceful event for everyone.

First touch of Opera & Ballet

“A wonderful experience for both child and mother.

The overall mood was calm. The props, musicians and ballet dancer contributed plenty of added value.”
