How to find us
The Opera House is at the corner of Mannerheimintie and Helsinginkatu, the address is Helsinginkatu 58. The main entrance is on the Mannerheimintie side. The main entrance is normally opened 1.5 hours before a performance in the main auditorium. Step-free access and entry to Almi Hall and the box office is from Oopperankuja on the Töölönlahti side.
Trams 2, 4, 7A/7B, 8 and 10 stop outside the Opera House. Walking from Helsinki railway station to the Opera House via the scenic route along Töölönlahti bay takes about 20 minutes.

Roadworks near the Opera House
Roadworks on Helsinkinkatu street between Mäntymäentie and Mannerheimintie streets will affect access to Oopperakuja up to early autumn. The Opera and Ballet customer service desk continues to be accessible for pedestrians and cars from Oopperakuja on the Töölö Bay side.
All pedestrians north of Helsinginkatu are directed to a temporary pavement on the south side of the street that runs along the wall of the Opera House. If you are approaching the Opera House from the direction of the Mäntymäki field, it is advisable to cross Helsinginkatu street using the pedestrian crossing at the junction of Mannerheimintie and Helsinginkatu because the crossing at the end of Oopperakuja is no longer in use.
Additionally, the bus stop on the north side of Helsinginkatu is out of service. A temporary bus stop is provided in Vauhtitie at Talvipuutarha (Winter Garden).
Arriving by car
The nearest public car park is 100 m from the Opera House on Mäntymäki field. The car park charges a fee until 19.00 Mon to Fri, but later in the evening and at weekends parking is free.
Please note that the car park may be crowded during events at the Olympic Stadium, as the car park is operated by the City of Helsinki.

Dropping off or picking up
The Opera House car park along Oopperankuja on the Töölönlahti side is for disabled parking and short-term (15 min) parking. You may use this car park when you visit the FNO box office or are dropping off or picking up operagoers. Taxis also drop off and pick up at the entrance on the Töölönlahti side.
The Opera House is easily accessible by bicycle. There are bicycle racks beside the entrance on the Töölönlahti side. Bicycle paths lead to the Opera House along Urheilukatu from the north, along Helsinginkatu from the east and along Töölönlahti bay and Mannerheimintie from the city centre.
