The FNO’s own car park on Oopperakuja on the Töölönlahti side is for disabled parking. There is step-free access to the Opera House from the entrance on the Töölönlahti side.
When entering through the accessible entrance on Oopperankuja, the cloakroom is right across the foyer. There is no cloakroom charge.
Access to the 1st and 2nd balconies is by lift. The wheelchair locations in the main auditorium are in the 1st balcony boxes 3 and 4 and in the 2nd balcony boxes 1, 2, 3 and 4. There are also wheelchair locations in Almi Hall. Book a wheelchair location when you book your ticket, or at the latest one week before the performance.
Accessible toilets are available in the foyer on the Töölönlahti side and at the ends of the 2nd balcony.
There is an induction loop to boost hearing aid signals that covers rows 5 to 17 of the stalls, rows 1 to 3 of the 1st balcony and rows 1 and 2 of the 2nd balcony. Please mention when booking your ticket if you need to use the induction loop.
Following international practice, operas are generally performed in their original languages. There is a surtitling screen above the proscenium arch, usually with the text in Finnish, Swedish and English.
About one opera production per year is interpreted in sign language at the FNO. Information on sign-language interpreting will be published on the FNO website and in the social media.

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee scent-free performances or seats, but we encourage every audience member to be considerate, as there are always likely to be other audience members sensitive to scents.
