Become a partner of the FNOB

The Finnish National Opera and Ballet is supported by the Ministry of Education and Culture and by the Cities of Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa and Kauniainen. Our main partners are Helsingin Sanomat and the Varma Employment Pension Insurance Company. Our other partners are Finnair, Evli Bank and Kalevala Jewelry.

Our partnership with Varma, which began in 1984, will continue at least until the end of 2018.

Our partnership with Helsingin Sanomat includes broad-based marketing collaboration, stakeholder events and national broadcasting of opera and ballet performances and contents on HSTV.

Finnair, a leading Nordic airline, was the Finnish National Ballet’s partner for the tour in Japan in spring 2017.

Our partnership with Kalevala Jewelry concerns the Land of Kalevala extravaganza in autumn 2017.

A Midsummer Night's Dream

“One of our key goals is to increase well-being”

“The guest performances of the National Opera and Ballet around Finland, operas featuring school children, and live performances bring the art world within reach of all Finns. It is also worth noting that the National Opera is a diverse employer. The partnership also offers us interesting potential to develop working life together with the makers of creative work,” says Ville-Veikko Laukkanen, Varma’s Executive Vice President.

FNOB to partner with Kalevala Jewelry

“Kalevala Jewelry is a Finnish icon. I have been wearing their designs for years myself. I am thrilled to be part of designing an item of jewellery that will convey the story of The Land of Kalevala to the broader Finnish public. I hope it will become an item worn with pride and a source of inner strength,” says Kenneth Greve.

“Kalevala Jewelry and The Land of Kalevala share the same foundation of Finnish themes, so this partnership is an excellent fit. This modern work dovetails well with our forward-looking business,” says Riitta Huuhtanen, Managing Director of Kalevala Jewelry.
